Morphy's 5 board simul
Compiled by Calli
--*--

Morphy plays the best players in London all at once. The simul was covered in The London Sunday Times which reported "More than once in the course of play his opponents had to call for time, which he conceded with most good-humoured courtesy, chatting in the interim carelessly with whoever chanced to stand near him." In other words, Morphy sometimes played too fast for the five expert players!
