Wesley So: The Road To Top
Compiled by penismightier
--*--

Not since GM Eugenio Torre's heyday has a Filipino achieved realistic chances to compete at the summit of world chess. Today, despite his shift to the United States Chess Federation, GM Wesley So is seen as the brightest hope for having a Philippine-born world chess champion. After struggling his way to the world's top ten best chess players, GM So continues to exhibit notable improvement and chess maturity. At a young age of 21 years, it can be argued that he is yet to reach his peak.
