Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-10-04  Knight13: Maybe the 7. Bxh7+ sacrifice didn't work well after all. What's with 43... Bg3+?, sacrificing a bishop for nothing? Is this a mistake?
Dec-10-04  Saruman: <Knight13>44.Kxg3 Nf5+ neatly picks up the bishop. Although white regains the piece with 46.Rc6+ it was not the crucial mistake of the game.
Dec-10-04  Knight13: <Saruman: 44.Kxg3 Nf5+ neatly picks up the bishop.> I saw that. I asked it because of the move 46. Rc6+ is waiting to capture the Bishop. So I thought it was a mistake.

wwall: 43...Bg3+? was the crucial mistake. Black should play 43... Re8 or 43...Ng6. After 44.Kxg3 Nf5+ 45.Kf4 Nxh6 46.Rc6+ and 47.Rxh6, White is 3 pawns up with a clear win.
