Feb-07-25  FM David H. Levin: Hi, <eyalbd>. I surmise that a CG editor was able to correct the ECO designation but not the verbal description. This is said to happen frequently.

  perfidious: When one looks at all the encounters between these players, it is correctly listed as B38, along with the proper opening nomenclature.

While I have the ability to edit much of the detail on the header--and often do (I might well have been the one to correct it above)--I lack the access to modify the opening name in headers. Even <jnpope>, also an admin, albeit with broader powers than mine, is unable to do so.

  perfidious: The striking thing about the transpositional possibilities of this opening is how, for a time, the number of similar games actually increases as one progresses down the tree rather than decreasing, as one would naturally expect, and which will nearly always take place:
