Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-31-09  The Rocket: teshner being an international master was very happy with a draw as white and played the exchange variation to the kid and the position got so simplified that even bobby fischer could only draw.
Sep-20-15  RookFile: I'm sure you're right, that was Teschner's goal. Not bad for Teschner to say after Fischer became champ that he got a draw against him.
Dec-15-15  jerseybob: According to Gufeld's book on Stein, Fischer was late for this game, having underestimated how long the ride from his hotel would be, and even though he got the edge, somehow missed the win(if there was one).

An Englishman: Good Evening: Teschner deserves a lot of credit for his play, sacrificing a pawn on a pair of occasions to stay in the game. Rather resourceful defense, esp. when you remember that so many of Fischer's opponents in this tournament did much worse than draw.
