Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-08-05  refutor: brave for short to play a line (9. ...c5) that has been known to be bad for black since Capablanca vs Lasker, 1921 was gelfand worried about some homecooking?
Jul-25-11  LIFE Master AJ: 9...c5; was top choice of several different programs ... (12 ply)

Short missed a simpler win:
55...Ng2+!; 56.Nxg2 Rxg2; 57.Rxa4 Rxg5;

(There is a ) POTD in there somewhere.

Overall, Short's play was VERY energetic! In the end, White had to yield material, his King's Rook (on h3) was completely out of play.
