Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-01-05   perfidious: Milner-Barry annotated this game in the 1.78 issue of the British Chess Magazine for which he was awarded the best game prize, but as he noted, only afterwards did he realise there was a refutation to his play.

The line given as winning for White by M-B went as follows: 28.Ng6 Rg8 and only then 29.Kf2 Rxg6 30.Rxg6 Bxf1 31.Rg8+ Kd7 32.Rd8+ Kxd8 33.Bg5+ Ke8 34.Rxd1 Bxh3 35.Re1.

Sep-01-05   MarvinTsai: Good information!
Though these two players don't seem to be very strong...
Sep-09-05   perfidious: <MarvinTsai> By then, Milner-Barry was past seventy, and I can't say I read anything more about Yeo after this.
