But Spassky has a good idea. 8...Qa6. White has to protect the ♙c4. (In fact, he could probably let it go, but Korchnoi doesn't like doing that.)

White retreats with Nd2, then Black exchanged on c3 to leave White with doubled, isolated c-pawns.

So I was surprised that Spassky played 11...d5. This allows White to get rid of the doubled pawns immediately. I also thought it odd that VK did not take the chance to do so. He played 12.Qb3.

Half a dozen moves later it is Spassky with the doubled pawns

But these are not serious and the game, played almost entirely on the queenside, was drawn, probably at the adjournment.
