Kibitzer's Corner
May-10-04  Lawrence: Chernev in "Logical Chess" says that the logical-looking 8.Nf3 comes either too soon or too late, that the correct move was 8.e4. (Junior 8 agrees.) Tarrasch gets a small advantage which grows and grows as the game advances until Marshall is swamped.
Sep-15-13  thomastonk: Already Tarrasch wrote in the match book that 8.e4 is the best move. Moreover, he gave 8.. ♘xc3 9.♗d2 ♕a4! 10.♕xc3 c5 with good play for Black.
