  Honza Cervenka: 26...h5 was a terrible mistake. Black overlooked that after 27.d6 he cannot take the Pawn 27...Bxd6 for simple 28.Qd3 threatening 29.Qxd6 or 29.Qxg6+.
Mar-08-05  Saruman: <Honza Cervenka> What do you say about the highly interesting 30.g4. For if; 30.g4 hxg4 31.h5 with the idea of h5-h6-h7# :-) The point being that if the queen leaves the seventh rank Bxf7+ SMACK decides the game. Although I havent found a clear way how to refute 30.-Be6 someone like you might be able to do that for me :-)
Mar-09-05  Saruman: It seems that its impossible to force a mate in a few moves. Nevertheless;

30.g4!? ♗e6 31.♘xe6 fxe6 32.♗xe6+ (32.-♔h7 33.♕xf8 ) ♖f7 33.♕xg6+ ♔f8 34.♕h6+ ♔g8 35.♖d5 and black is doomed.

  beatgiant: On 30. g4!?, Black has 30...Bc2! 31. Bxc2 Qxg4+ with perpetual check.
Mar-09-05  Saruman: <beatgiant> True, I saw 30-Bc2 at first, but I overlooked the simple fact that after a later Qxh4+ white cant play Nh3 because of Qxf6 :-)
Sep-10-07  wolfmaster: Yes, his was a commanding game from Boleslavsky.
Apr-30-10  ozmikey: That's not quite the end of the story with 30. g4, after 30...Bc2 there's the possibility 31. Ne6, but after 31...fxe6 32. Bxe6+ Kh7! White's still got nothing.

Hard to argue against a move that forces Black to resign, in any event!
