A. Santasiere vs E B Adams White to move

Aug-07-18 | | lost in space: I was not able to find anything for Black with the current active pieces, even though I had the impression that I am close... Therefore I decided that the best is to do what you learn as beginner: activate your pieces which are not doing anything, develop your undeveloped peices. Don't attack until you finalized your development. Here it works with 25...Rae8. |

|
Aug-07-18 | | sfm: <dTal: This is a Tuesday puzzle???>
Yes, why? If you had problems calculating until 35.-,a4 I am afraid this game is not really for you. As you may have figured out: just kiddin'!
This holds as the most "insane" Tuesday puzzle I can recall. :-) |

 | | Jimfromprovidence: I went to my puzzle vault and found this nice one, appropriate for a Tuesday. It's move 14, white to play and win. click for larger view

Aug-07-18 | | King Harvest: What!? Tuesday?? Put this up again Sunday I still won't get it. |
|
Aug-07-18 | | King Harvest: Well, I can't expect to get them all. I mean I got dressed this morning and I noticed my lev psakis on my right foot. |
|
Aug-07-18 | | saturn2: <Jim> nice of you giving me that tuesday feeling. At least black loses the bishop on e7 for nothing. |
|
Aug-07-18 | | ChessHigherCat: <Malt> Good one, gets away from the same old themes. |
|
Aug-07-18 | | malt: <ChessHigerCat> I liked the quote ! Some games encourage you to try to become a professional chess player while others make you resign yourself to being an enthusiastic amateur. This game definitely falls in the latter category. |

Aug-07-18 | | Coriolis: Can someone please explain what has happened to this website? |

Aug-07-18 | | Patzer Natmas: I clicked on the puzzle before trying to see who moves first...saw Re8 after clicking on puzzle, but was fascinated to see the rest of the game. |

Aug-07-18 | | drollere: i'd encourage those who can to post an obit on this site celebrating mr. freeman and what he built here. it's quite a unique achievement. i'd hope some of the better rated and more frequent visitors to this site are communicating gentle guidance and support to the current operators. there's an opportunity for someone who knows the difference between a monday puzzle and a friday puzzle to step up as puzzle editor. no harm recycling puzzles every five years or so. if the site is currently hosted rather than staffed, it would be prudent to back up everything as a contingency against retail hosting misadventures. <malt> Nice puzzle! Thanks for that. Remember, if puzzles are gonna be posted, at least 2 gotta be posted. Otherwise someone won't have a puzzle to solve. :) ---
<Jimfromprovidence> Also a nice puzzle. Unfortunately I did not get it. Too desperate at looking for sacrifices. ;) |

 | | Penguincw: < Mayankk: Nice one Penguincw. Got the real Tuesday puzzle. Please try and post similar ones for rest of the week as well - am sure you can find them :) > I'll try my best. But hey, this is fun. I hope others step up and find puzzles to share to all as well. |

Aug-08-18 | | dTal: I am so sorry to hear that the webmaster passed away. For years I have visited CG regularly, spending a few mts to look at the daily puzzle and gotd. always marvelling at the quality and integrity of the site. I did not and do not know the staff, and would like to offer my most sincere condolences. I hope somebody posts an obituary. |
