Mar-01-06  Resignation Trap: This is just a "routine" win by Tal, and not usually mentioned in books about him. Notice 13...Nfe4! The point being if 14.Nxe4 Rc8 15.Qb5 a6!

After 17.Bxc8 Nxe4 we have this position:

White is a pawn ahead, but his pieces are poorly placed. White's bishop on c8 is the focus of attention, but Khodos couldn't find a satisfactory way to save it. His best chance was 18.f3 Nc5 (if 18...Nf6 19.Rg2!) 19.Bd2! Kg7 20.b4 .
