Aug-29-08		GrahamClayton: I believe that this could be Tal's only loss of his 8 board telex simultaneous exhibition against an Australian team in 1974. He finished with a record of +4, =3, -1. Could the citation of the game be changed to match the other telex games in the database?

Oct-21-12		An Englishman: Good Evening: The funny thing about defenses that hang by a thread is that such thread can be pretty strong; the only reason Black survives Tal's attack is that Bxh6 is always met with ...Qh3+ forking King and Bishop. For example, 25.Bxh6,Qg3+; 26.K-any,Qxh3+. At the end, if 30.Rh2(finally threatening Bxh6),Qf5+ forces the exchange of Queens.

Oct-21-12		Abdel Irada: <newzild>: That is technically correct, but I believe it's pragmatically wrong. The game title is a wordplay on a Beatles song title and the winner's name, and as such it will very probably be accepted according to the broad colloquial usage.

Feb-10-15		optimal play: Board 3 (out of 8) played by telex between Moscow & Adelaide on 14th May 1974 <<Fuller's game was a triumph for him. Early on, he appeared to be on the verge of being overrun by a steamroller of pawns but defended calmly and finished the game strongly after Tal chose a risky exchange of Rook for two minor pieces on move 23. Here the game was adjourned. Black has a mating threat by Rook to h5 and h1> - The Canberra Times (ACT) issue Wednesday 22 May 1974 page 14> The adjudication was made by Soviet Grandmasters Kotov & Averbach.
