Oct-15-06  Bufon: I liked the way Kasparov moved those horses around; i would have like to see they have played it a little bit more, i dont see the clear draw here.
Oct-15-06  TopaLove: Yes, I liked this game either. Besides, it´s interesting to see Kasparov´s initiative. White´s doubled rooks looked so strong at first sight but there was nothing they could do.

  plang: 13 Rc1 was a new move; 13 b3 had been played previously. After 24 Bd4 both players had only 5 minutes left. Black would have had better winning chances had he played 35..d4 36 Qb4..Nd6 37 Rc1..d3 38 Qc3..Ne4 39 Qxf6+..Kxf6 40 Rc7..Ne3+ 41 Kg1..d2 42 Nxd2..Nxd2 43 Rb7. With seconds left Black played 37..Ne7? (37..Nd6 was better) and offered a draw which was accepted. After the game Kasparov pointed out a possible winning line for White: 38 Rd8!..Qxf4 39 Qxd4..Qxd4 40 Nxd4..Kf6 41 Rd7..N3d5 42 Rxb7..Ke5 43 Nc2..Nc6 44 b4..f5 45 b5..axb 46 a6 but White didn't have time for this type of calculation.
