What I thought I saw: 28.Qf7(?), thinking I either checkmate (if black takes my queen, e.g. 28...Qxf7 29.Rxd8 Qg8 30.Rxg8#, or 28...Qd7 29.Qg8+ Rxg8 30.Rxg8#), or otherwise I win black's queen (29.Qxc7  ). What I overlooked: With 28...Nxa8, black takes my rook AND defends his queen. I lose. :-( |
