Jul-23-16  zydeco: Yusupov gets close in this game. I probably would have played Qxd7+ on move 19 or 20, but, obviously, Yusupov knows what he's doing.

Imaginative defense by Sokolov, especially with the game-saving 26...Kf6! (If 26....Qxc6 27.Qe5+).

28.Rxd8 is perpetual check after 28...Qe1+.

  offramp: The worst attack to defend against: a "free" attack where your opponent hasn't even given away a pawn. so that even if you survive the attack all you'll get is a level ending.
