keypusher: Here's another nice game...Landau was shot by the Nazis during WWII.

S Landau vs Flohr, 1939

Feb-01-06  Autoreparaturwerkbau: Game in the link is indeed a true master piece by player of the day! I'm impressed by skillful handling of rooks together with bishops.
Feb-01-06  george IV: Landau throws his pieces over Book's head!!
Aug-02-11  qqdos: In this game Landau (as White) played the Colle opening system, which he had defended as Black in 1931 at Rotterdam against Colle himself winning another notable game! Here Book played 11..Nxe4; whereas Landau chose 11...Bf4!? which provoked Colle to go onto the attack with 12.Nxf6+?! A splendid pair of games and a fitting legacy for Salo Landau!
Aug-02-11  cunctatorg: It's a fitting legacy also for the madness and destructiveness of Landau's executioners and murderers...
Dec-30-18  Saniyat24: Salo's Book Of Bishops...!
