Nov-06-05  DeepBlade: Nice trap!

(loss of Queen with no compensation)

Feb-21-06  John Abraham: No compensation? Black gets a bishop for pawn and queen.
Mar-01-06  DeepBlade: compensationcom·pen·sa·tion (kmpn-sshn)
n.

1. The act of compensating or the state of being compensated. 2. Something, such as money, given or received as payment or reparation, as for a service or loss. 3. Biology The increase in size or activity of one part of an organism or organ that makes up for the loss or dysfunction of another. 4. Psychology Behavior that develops either consciously or unconsciously to offset a real or imagined deficiency, as in personality or physical ability

Compensation is something that kinda levels your losses. Black has ZERO counterplay, is lagging behind in development and I dont find a Bishop and a Pawn (which is 4 point) compensating a whole (9 point) Queen. But thats my opinion.

Mar-17-06  McCool: This is similar to Schestakov vs Gusseinow, 1967.
Mar-19-06  DeepBlade: <McCool> Thanks for the link!
Feb-13-07  alshatranji: I think John Abraham is joking.
Feb-13-07  TrueFiendish: A trap as old as chess itself. The line is one every Morra player prays his unsuspecting opponent will fall into.
Sep-25-11  310metaltrader: i fell for this just this weekend, thought i could go nh5 and be ok.
Aug-31-16  kishore4u: Nice trap
Aug-31-16  kishore4u: Brilliant trap!!
Aug-05-20  sea7kenp: I'd say that White's Pawn on e5 is laced with Cyanide!
