Joshka: Hey lotta pre-arrangement going on...until consequences are enforced on these guys, they will continue to do these things...shame on them.
Nov-08-04  acirce: This is what happens with players like Drawozevich. Bring in Kramnik and Leko!
Nov-08-04  iron maiden: <acirce> LOL. But if you think that Bore-ozevich is bad, don't even look at B Kvisvik vs Carlsen, 2001.
Nov-08-04  clocked: <acirce> is neglecting the fact that Malakhov is part of team Drawnik. This was the final round which gave 2nd and 3rd place to these two. The winner by tie-breaks, Svidler, took his final round draw in a marathon 11 moves.
Nov-08-04  iron maiden: <clocked> It takes two to tango. If Morozevich was in such a fighting mood, he wouldn't have taken the draw.
Nov-08-04  clocked: <IM> Moro has played the two knights tango...
Nov-08-04  PinkPanther: <morostyle>
This is a Benko Gambit reversed, complete with that neat knight move, taking advantage of the pin on the pawn.
Nov-08-04  PinkPanther: It's the reverse of this:Gelfand vs Adams, 1992
Mar-25-05  ongyj: I always think it's White's responsibility to fight on, not Black. After all, White started the war with the initative, and many consider Black to accomplish it's mission by drawing. Of course I'm not saying that Black should let White escape when it's in advantage, but sometimes it is very difficult for Black to accomplish anything if White is all out for a draw. On the other hand players should just play on when the game hasn't truely ended. After all, why play at all, if you're not trying to win?
