|Aug-30-04|| ||clocked: Programs show no fear and are happy to play 14...Nxe4 15.Nxe4 Bxd4 16.Rad1 c5! where 17.c3 is meet by Bf5 |
|Aug-30-04|| ||InspiredByMorphy: <Benzol> My earlier post had errors. I meant to say maybe he could have played 16.Ng3 or 16.Rad1 . However your suggestion is much better. Whites queen is misplaced on e3, and in the game is retreated from e3 to f2 when it could have been put there in the first place with 20.Qf2 . |
|Jul-12-06|| ||Rocafella: Of couse programs show no fear. They do not have emotions, only the best possible moves in mind. This is one of the things that makes them superior over humans.|

Thanks for the news flash! Wow, no emotions, eh? Who'd a thunk it!
Except they don't have a "mind" either, in which to keep the "best possible moves" but only can do what the human programmer tells it to do! It's a tool!
Enjoy your "superior" computer. I'll be drinking wine with my emotional friends.
|Jul-13-06|| ||Rocafella: Speaking of emotions, I am feeling a lot of anger. I'm coming for you <Everett>! :o||
|Jul-25-06|| ||Everett: <Rocafella> It's all good, I just get a tad warm when computers hold sway over human encounters. My own issue. I apologize for making it personal. ;-)|

be careful - we don't know how the roach thinks... oops ... I meant God ... pass me another --- ale.
|Dec-14-06|| ||Aseem: I think this is Kasparovs first loss according to the database|
|Feb-06-07|| ||IMDONE4: <Aseem> lol this may be the first loss recorded in the database, but it definitely was not his first loss|
|Feb-06-07|| ||IMDONE4: Impressive display by Smyslov, the master of simple, clear positions and technical mastery|
|Mar-23-07|| ||AAAAron: Kasparov was 12 when this game was played and Smyslov was 52. Kaspy was just a young buck then, the beginning of great legacy!|
|Feb-23-08|| ||Sularus: it is i think fitting that his first loss in this database is to no less than an ex-world champion.|
|Mar-29-10|| ||birthtimes: And this appears to be the first time that Smyslov ever played 3...g6 in the Spanish game as Black!|
|Feb-21-11|| ||sevenseaman: A very good game by Vasily. Both Smyslov and Kasparov were great champions but in analysing this game it is important to keep the following context in view.|
<<AAAAron>: Kasparov was 12 when this game was played and Smyslov was 52. Kaspy was just a young buck then, the beginning of great legacy!>
|Feb-21-11|| ||AnalyzeThis: It must have been rough having Botvinnik coach you on a daily basis.|
|Mar-11-11|| ||Lennonfan: <analyse this>i dont fully understand you in your above post! Was botvinik some kind of horrible bully to his students,or is this just another of your lame attempts at sarcasm in your fischer loving bubble to use against the great Kasparov?? If its the latter,your a really sad individual who should stick to commenting on your bobby's games....i mean,what you doing commenting on a Kasparov game anyway,its well known your a hater?|
|Mar-11-11|| ||TheFocus: <Lennonfan> Well, <AnalyzeThis> might be a Smyslov fan.|
|Jul-08-12|| ||Ryuenzo203106: why 15. was bd7? can someone explain to me?|
|Sep-14-12|| ||Mikhail Tal fan: <Ryuenzo203106> Simple, Smyslov was aiming to post his bishop on c6 initially aiming at the e4 pawn.It has a strong position in the a8-h1 diagonal|
|Sep-14-12|| ||Mikhail Tal fan: and of course, the obvious 16.Rd1 from Kasparov was countered by simply moving the black queen away , say to c7 or b6;|

|Apr-13-14|| ||MrJafari: Black played great,but it seems one of the reasons of losing of Kasparov was his attacking style of play...|
|Dec-18-16|| ||saketpipalwa: why did black not play bxf6 after move 24 nf6 check...?|
|Dec-18-16|| ||disasterion: <saketpipalwa> 24... Bxf6 25.Rg4 loses the Queen. There's some compensation - 25... Qxg4 26.hxg4 Rxe5 is a mess but white must be winning.|
