Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-16-05  EmperorAtahualpa: 7.Nf5 is a novelty, but not a very convincing one (not to me at least). The book move is 7.Nf3.

On Black's part, I think 28...Rb7?? is the only obvious mistake. Are there any more?

Dec-16-05  Mendrys: I dunno but I certainly like white's position after move 20. I think it may have been a mistake for black to trade queens. All those isolated and doubled pawns seem ripe for the picking at the hands of Fisher.
Dec-16-05  EmperorAtahualpa: <Mendrys> Yeah now that I look at it, I think 15...Qd4?? is pretty bad too.
Jan-17-08  timhortons: 7th.nf5 is something that was never used again by top grandmasters...i wonder if bobby would use it to the likes of tal or yefim geller...now these is a simul and he knew hes a lot stronger than patzers in montreal...maybe he just muddle the position to confuse the patzer from hes memorized line
Dec-01-08  Helios727: I agree. He probably just wanted to avoid book lines.

MissScarlett: Anyone know a source for this game? It doesn't appear in the recent third edition of <A Legend on the Road>.

MissScarlett: Found out that Black is <J Ken MacDonald>, a long-time Canadian correspondence player, but a contemporary source remains mysterious.
Nov-23-17  Larryfyffe: Confirmed by email to me from J Ken MacDonald of Toronto. Said he will try to find the game to see if the correct one is given above.
Nov-24-17  Larryfyffe: MacDonald sent me a copy of his original descriptive score card that confirms the moves above. So it could be said that Ken is the source of the game score.
Dec-23-18  DonChalce: good use of the rook at the end. O.O
