Apr-11-07  Dres1: Haha... sure... put up my worst game of the tournament!!
Apr-11-07  THE pawn: <Dres1> Not many people have a rating over 2000, so don't worry about that game, something tells me you've played fantastic games.

Btw, why resigning? After 21...Ke7 22.Re1+ Kd7 23.Rd1 c5 24.Bxc5 Kc6 25.Rxd6+ Kxc5 you're down a pawn, but your king can handle the passed c-pawn. no?

Apr-11-07  THE pawn: Oh...wait, black simply has Rd7, attacking both the a and f-pawn. Ok, I got it.
Apr-11-07  Ashram64: slaughterness!

  tpstar: 21 ... Ke7 22. Re1+ Kd7 23. Rd1 c5 24. Bxc5 Kc6 25. Bxd6 Rd8 26. Kf1 and Black can either play out a piece-down ending or else trade down into a lost K&P endgame.
Apr-11-07  Dres1: <The pawn>, <Ashram64>.. youre both right!... ive played better games than this.. and i did get mashed this time.. but hey, it happens to everyone.. plus im new to the sicilian, so ive focus most of my learning energies on the main open sicilians so far.. not too familiar with the Smith Morra gambit, nor the alapin transposition.. games like this help you learn real quick though.
Apr-11-07  Knight13: <Dres1> Good game, though. People like me would play a lot worse than this, so, like he said, don't worry.
Apr-11-07  Pulse: Hey, Dres1, if it makes you feel any better, I beat this guy during the Liberty Bell Open as black, and it was also an Alapin transposition. I could show you the game. He basically made a wild sack in the opening and I pretty much refuted it.
Apr-11-07  Chess Classics: <Dres1> Hey man, having a page is sweet. Sorry that it isn't your best game. So, wild and crazy idea, post your best game!

Regards,
CC
