  al wazir: Looks familiar.
Oct-28-19  Cheapo by the Dozen: I liked this puzzle last week.
Oct-28-19  An Indianman: Good evening: Wait, wasn't I here before? No wonder I got this puzzle so fast! (aside from it being a relatively easy Monday puzzle)
Oct-28-19  saturn2: I missed this one last week (by not entering the CG site).

24 Bxf6+ Qxf6 25. Qh6+ Kg8 26. Qh7#

Oct-28-19  drollere: third one in a row i've never seen before.
Oct-28-19  agb2002: Level 1.5: 36... ?

Oct-28-19  jffun1958: OK, from last Saturday on we have exactly seven puzzles: One for Monday, one for Tuesday, one for Wednesday ...
Oct-28-19  BwanaVa: Last week, same puzzle...right?
Oct-28-19  1stboard: Houston , we have a problem .....
Oct-28-19  WorstPlayerEver: I got it right this time.
Oct-28-19  stacase: That's the wonderful thing about being 75 - I had just as much fun seeing the solution in a few seconds that I must have had a week ago. I really don't remember it @@

Someone on a chat board a long time ago told me that @@ meant "eyes roll" but I can't verify that on a "What does @@ mean" search.

Oct-28-19  zb2cr: 23. Bxf6+ does it, by opening the royal road to h6 for the White Queen.

Oct-28-19  TheaN: I think I'll play Bxf6+ again. CG if this is a short staff issue or something, plenty of daily solvers willing to give a hand, <agb> does it without even asking. Drawback is that we've now seen that one so, yeah... perhaps a <Puzzle suggestion page>?

Jimfromprovidence: Here is a very nice early week puzzle. It's move 36 with BLACK to play.

perfidious: <Jim>, from the diagram, 1....Nxg3+ 2.Kf2 Bc5 spells ruination for White, in a clever blend of overloading and forking themes.
Oct-28-19  Damenlaeuferbauer: <Chessgames> Same procedure as last Monday! After long pondering, my old Polish friend Aleksander still finally found the mate in 3 moves with 24.Bxf6+!,Qxf6 (24.-,Kg8 25.Qh6 with mate on h7 or h8 on the next move) 25.Qh6+,Kg8 26.Qh7#. Again, this miniature is a lesson how to slain the Soltis variation of the Sicilian dragon with white and shows how not to play this variation with the black pieces!
Oct-28-19  Captain Hindsight: Better would have been < 18... Nxd5!! -+ >

and life is good for Black, e.g.

< 19. exd5 Nc4 20. Qd3 Nxb2 21. Kxb2 Bf5 > and ... Rxc2+

At least they're getting easier to solve. :)
