Jun-19-08  sitzkrieg: I would like to point out one of the nicest games of this round! For people who think the berlin defense is boring...The tactics after 31.e6 are pretty cool, seems to be a trademark of Volo to have his king out in the open when attacking. Imo he should be invited to more tournaments, 3 wins and 3 losses so good performance in 2700 company, exciting style of play; what more could one ask for!

An Englishman: Good Evening: What I find most odd is that after 27 moves, all of Black's pieces sit on their original squares! I've never seen so little development so late in a game since the 19th Century.
Jun-22-08  sitzkrieg: According to the newest chessbase report this game won a special prize for best ending.
