Nov-17-08  missing kasparov: its over try again later
Dec-05-08  WhiteRook48: So many Bishops!!! Oh, and CG has this listed as a 255 move game, when it's 271 moves long instead.
Dec-05-08  akapovsky: This is rubish!
Dec-05-08  andymac: The Grob is a bit of a random opening. I do like, however, that the reverse Grob (1. d4 g5) is called the Borg.
Dec-08-08  ajile: The point is that Nakamura played Rybka into a closed position that was totally blocked. This is the standard idea to beat computers. Then as has been mentioned before Black simply repeats moves until Rybka makes a bad move to avoid a draw. The programmer needs to make it so that Rybka accepts a draw by repetition rather than make poor moves.
Dec-08-08  hackmate: Computers have a setting for that. It is called the "contempt" field. If contempt is high you avoid repetition draws. If it is low it will accept them.
Dec-11-08  WhiteRook48: <andymac> the Gorb and the Borg???
Dec-11-08  andymac: <WhiteRook48> indeed. The Grob is named after the player (I think this guy: Henri Grob) and the Borg is just Grob backwards (named after this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Borg)
Dec-14-08  WhiteRook48: Star Trek and Henri Grob???
Dec-20-08  Bear With Me: Come on Chess Games, this is rubbish!! How can you seriously allow a game like this to be considered to included in the collection? This is a Mickey-Mouse chess game and is a deliberate attempt to falsely engineer a long game in excess of 250 moves,no way that ths game should included. Please remove it at once and only allow genuine long games to part of the "Long Games that are not draws"
Dec-20-08  patzer of patzers: <akapovsky> Your spelling is rubbish! :) (unless you're referencing rubes, which could be taken offensively)

<Bear With Me> This is a genuine blitz game, with great use of anti-computer style. If nothing else, Nakamura shows skill in avoiding stalemate with 6 Bishops and little time on the clock. :)

Dec-20-08  missing kasparov: he should use his anti-computer style in a serious game meaning serious time controls.
Dec-21-08  WhiteRook48: These dumb serious chess players want Nakamura to be brainwashed to play serious openings and defenses, et al. What? If you don't have fun at chess you're missing the whole point.
Dec-21-08  timhortons: <These dumb serious chess players want Nakamura to be brainwashed to play serious openings and defenses, et al. What? If you don't have fun at chess you're missing the whole point.>

naka never again played rybka at icc. I hope he decide to play with rybka again just for the sake of fun.

Some over sensitive chess nerds hate these type of game and there the one throwing insults to nakamura in kibitz when he play with rybka at icc.

theres legions of chess nerds at icc who hate these game but i wonder why they observe it.

Dec-22-08  WhiteRook48: The original Bishop in the final position is at d6.
Dec-22-08  WhiteRook48: Bishop says: Hey why do I have so many duplicates?
Which bishop was speaking?
"Hello all you other Bishops. This is a surprise!"
Dec-24-08  katar: very nice demonstration of the technique to checkmate with 5 bishops. someone tell Dvoretsky.
Dec-24-08  WhiteRook48: ICC probably threw this score sheet away
Dec-25-08  timhortons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbAz...

these game is different from the horsing around game against crafty.

nakamura here mated rybka using 8 knights, im the one who record these video, im sorry its not very good, im using an entry level digital camera.

Dec-25-08  Eduardo Leon: This game was funny!
Dec-27-08  WhiteRook48: don't you mean 6 Knights?
Dec-29-08  WhiteRook48: 271. Ka8 loses. It might have been better to resign but computers don't know how.
Jan-01-09  WhiteRook48: ICC should get a sense of humor. If you don't have fun at chess you're missing the whole point.
