Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-28-09  AnalyzeThis: I find this opening to be surprisingly interesting. Sloan has had reasonable results with it for a class player. Here he just got crushed.
Aug-16-12  Gambit All: I think 21...♘8f6 was a blunder. Otherwise it's still a game.
Oct-16-12  Abdel Irada: <Gambit All>: What else would you have Black do on move 21? He has to get out of check somehow, and without subjecting his king to further threats. That's not such an easy task.

Meanwhile, Black's attack seems to be at a standstill, and all White has to do is reach the endgame and make his extra four pawns count.

Oct-16-12  Wyatt Gwyon: Maybe if Sloan had eaten some more brains before the game he would have found a way...

Oct-16-12  Abdel Irada: Nah. He'd have just gone on looking for more brains.

If we were really lucky, he might have shambled his way into the "Simpsons" Halloween episode, chanting "Live brains! Live brains!", knocked hopefully on Homer's head, and then wandered away in disappointment.
