Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-30-11  LaFreak III: I thought White was winning. Then suddenly
Oct-30-11  Gilmoy: <8.Nf3 11.Nd2 13.Nc4 14.Na3> The only thing dimmer than a knight on the <near> rim is ...

<31.Nc4 33.Ne3 34.Nxg4> ... a Knight that goes there and back again!

Oct-30-11  Matsumoto: Amazed!
Oct-30-11  Ulhumbrus: Instead of 34 Nxg4, 34 Rxf1 with Bg5 hangs on to the f6 pawn and keeps Black's B out of play
Oct-30-11  anandrulez: Why a5 ? a5 was to deflect the black queen . I think white could have trapped the Knight with direct g4 and f4 . After 16.g4 nf6 17.f4 black sacrifices the knight and gets a beautiful N on g4 and queen coming to h4 . With the white bishop inactive and black's bd4 , I think black is winning . Hence white decides to deflect the white queen to a .
Oct-30-11  anandrulez: Can anyone post analysis if 16 a4 nf6 17 f4 nexg4 hxg nfxg4 - Does black have good chances ?
Oct-30-11  hms123: <anandrulez>

Nov-01-11  anandrulez: Thank you very much hms123, it is by no means winning but black gets an edge being a piece down ! Very interesting position .
Nov-12-11  felix90: I see a counter attack for white : 33.Rfe1 (33... R*e1 34.R*e1) --> if black takes the knight on c4, white follows Re8+ Kh7 - Ng5+ Kh6 - N*f7+ and mat comes immediatly, so black can't let white put his rook on e8, that gives black tempo to save knight and attack (N*d6)
