tamar: Why is this 1-0? Did Black resign, or lose on time?

Black can draw by not exchanging the bishop, and sacrificing it for the c pawn later.

May-08-13  k40cheddar: Pretty sure once the bishop moves white plays c5, Ke7, and c6. Then he will block out black's bishop with his own and promote by c7-c8. Black's king can't stop it.

79 Bd6 Kc4 80 Bc7 Bc3 and White has made no progress.

Unless he lost on time, Meier will be cursing himself tonight.

Good point, seems kind of trivial if he just removes the bishop and doesn't do anything stupid like enter the lost king pawn endgame with 75...Bxe7.
May-09-13  stanleys: Khalifman acknowledges on a Russian forum that his opponent has resigned in a drawn position. He also believes that 40.Bxf5 should be winning for white
