Jul-04-13  kingfu: For you who are not doing BBQ or blowing stuff up:

Black 37...Nxe4

What does Black do after 38 PxN?

Phony Benoni: <kingfu> After 37...Nxe4 38.fxe4, Black can play 38...Bxe5 because 39.Qxc8 gets blown up by 39...Qh4!, and White is barbecued:

White can't protect both mating threats on h2 and e1, and 40.Qxe8+ Kh7 just prolongs things a move or so. Nor does 40.g3 help: 40...Qxe4+ 41.Kg1 Bd4+ 42.Kf1 Qh1#.

Jul-04-13  kingfu: I was looking at Qh4 first without Bxe5. No progress.

Two mates are better than one!

Thanks, PB

BTW, Artemiev is only 15 years old!

Aug-04-13  Anubhav2000: all calculated frm move 33 or so. just so incredible!
