Apr-19-16  kamagong24: the queen's gambit somehow transposed into a sort of gruenfeld and somehow resembles a nimzo indian game Kramnik lost to Kasparov...

Honza Cervenka: 20...Ne5 was a wrong decision. I don't think that Kramnik simply missed 21.Bxb5 but that he misevaluated the position with Bishop against Knight after that. After 20...Nb8 with intention Nc6 black is fine.
Apr-22-16  ndg2: Magnus does the Kramnik (creating and pushing a passed pawn quickly to win, that is)
Apr-23-16  thegoodanarchist: Why move and then resign? Unusual.

Yes it does seem so. Two possibilities come to mind:
1) He made his move and the flag dropped before he hit the clock. 2) He realized that after 36.Nb6 his position is completely hopeless.

Apr-26-16  Howard: For the record, it happened in a game from Spassky-Portisch (Candidates) 1977.

As CL&R put it..."Black managed to do two things at once--overstep the time limit and also resign."

Spassky won that match, by the way.
