JAMES HENRY TURNER
(born Sep-30-1822, died Oct-23-1863, 41 years old) United States of America

[what is this?]

James Henry Turner was born in 1822 in Fayette County, Kentucky. He received a good education and was a graduate of law at Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky. He was also a man of fine literary attainments. After practicing law several years he gave up this profession to engage in agricultural pursuits, his wife (Rachel Elizabeth Gist, to whom he married in 1846) having inherited an old homestead. He afterwards represented the County of Montgomery in the Legislature. He enlisted in the Federal army in the war between the States, but on account of his health failing resigned and died soon after in 1863, leaving five children.

jnpope: Here is my CA take on the Stanley-Turner match. I think I have the first eight (and details of the ninth) games correctly ordered: http://www.chessarch.com/archive/18...

I'm not sure if this would help in creating an event page for this match... but there it is.
