Tabanus: Iosif Iosifovich Rudakovsky (Jan. 1914 – December 1947) from Ukraine, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iosif_...

http://db.chessmetrics.com/PL/PL343... has him as no. 18 in the world at age 32 in 1945.

Jun-08-21  Nosnibor: He was actually 33 years of age when he died and just a month shy of his 34th birthday. Do we know the actual cause of death?
Jun-12-21  Straclonoor: <Do we know the actual cause of death?> Tuberculosis
Jan-18-25  whiteshark: <Master Rudakovsky died at the age of 33 from tuberculosis before he had time to reveal his talent. He went through the war with the rank of major> and after the war, together with Nikolay Kopaev, he managed one of the three clubs in Ukraine (Lviv, Chernivtsi and Dnepropetrovsk). Neither Kiev, Kharkiv nor Odessa had their own clubs at that time. In the late 40s Lviv and Chernivtsi played two matches every year: home and away.
