Oct-31-08  Whitehat1963: Gimme a huge break! First of all, I know who Sirhan Sirhan is. Second of all, I'm not moron enough to accept this idiotic Republican mudslinging via guilt by association nonsense.

Jan-01-09  Augalv: Grand Canyon/CHANGE IS COMING 12" TROBAMA001 9
Mix a speech from our next President, <BARACK OBAMA>, ontop of some bumpy, underground house beats and a "hint of SIS TROMPETA" in the background and you get this new 12". Comes with a trompet mix, BALKAN BEAT BOX mix and an OBAMAPELLA. BARACK label art (art by OBEY aka SHEPARD FAIREY).

  OhioChessFan: A Chess Fable:
The newly crowned Captain of the World Team revealed his plans for the upcoming game against Rybka. "I HOPE!", he cried, "we can CHANGE our previous efforts! I have discovered that there is a sacrifice of the exchange possible in the 11th move of the Kan! Such is the agenda I bring to you."

The World cried, "Change! Yes, we need CHANGE! Never mind that he is telling the 1. e4 players that the change involves a sacrifice of the exchange on the 11th move of a Kan, and he is telling the 1. d4 players he doesn't think 2. c4 is de rigeur, and he is telling the 1. c4 players he loves a good Queenside fight and wants to CHANGE what side they should castle on, no, he tells us all, CHANGE!"

The day he was elected Captain, the crowds cheered, the people cried, the heavens opened up and a dove descended on the Captain of Hope and Change. It had been a long battle to be voted the Captain, but he had parlayed his objections to the previous Captain........dear heavens, not objections, but DISSENT! DISSENT I tell you, DISSENT, the highest form of membership on a World Team, he had parlayed that DISSENT into a MOVEMENT, a MOVEMENT that promised a Rook in every pot, a gold inlaid chessboard on every table, and free cigars and Coca Colas for all players. He would do that without raising expenses for anyone making under 20 billion dollars a year. "HURRAH!", the players shouted.

And the game began. "1. e4", the Captain ordained. "Perhaps a second of your time, your Excellency", the 1. d4 players implored. "Is it really a good idea to play an open game against Rybka?" "Tut, tut, my friends", the Captain replied. "I have been given a mandate of HOPE and CHANGE, and I will not let the petty grievances of naysayers stop my historic plans." The 1. d4 players were not satisfied, but they were aware the Captain did in fact have 60% of the voters on his side.

Rybka replied 1...c5
