Even if Nd5 was not played, black has (IMHO) a good plan of Qf3, Nh5 followed by the rook lift on the a file if the white queen leaves the f1-a6 diagonal. On the other hand, with the f8 rook guarding, a quick attack on black's king appears unlikely. Thus, it appears to me that a black win is not impossible without the blunder. |

I'm not sure why on the female side of chess is the rating AND LOOKS, is important. I guess on the man side of chess Grischuck and Perez are the only real good looking Male GMs. |

Why else would people pay attention to games between low 2500s? Kosteniuk's overall world ranking isn't even in the top 600. |

Most times it's much more exciting, and their games feel more 'real' and 'human' to my patzer eyes. :p Also, they seem to play more OTB chess than letting their fritz and memory do the playing, if you know what i mean. -_- Yes, this means they are objectively weaker, but the games are more interesting to me, even if they have higher blunder percentage, and even if their first choice matches up with Rybka alot less.. It's the same reason that we also like to watch Amber. The games are arguably more exciting, quality of play doesn't have to be computer like to be enjoyable. Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that watching womens matches live would also add another level of 'eye candy'. :) <HolyKnight: I guess on the man side of chess Grischuck and Perez are the only real good looking Male GMs.> Who's Perez? This guy? Lu Perez Never heard of him. lol.
As for good looking guys.. Dominguez(his GF is pretty hot too, heh), Morozevich(yes!), and i think that Maxim Rodstein(sp?) guy, the 2650+ player from Israel. He's like the Israeli version of Grischuk, they both have the long pretty boy hair.. haha |

Personally I still prefer to watch classical games at the highest level. <Jim Bartle> Great analogy! All three of my teams won yesterday (my undergrad institution UCLA, my graduate institution Michigan, and my favorite NBA team LA Lakers). :D |

Indeed, here the difference in rating was big between some of the players. The most surprising thing is maybe that usually stable players like Chiburdanidze, Cramling and Stefanova all lost as many as four games each. |
