WannaBe: CCC is Charlotte (North Carolina) Chess Center, not sure what the SA stands for... And I am not going to spend a lot of time (Googling to) finding it out either.

https://www.charlottechesscenter.org/

Judging from the title of this little tourney, and the dates. It took place over the holidays, and looking over some of the draws and number of moves, some did not try very hard (to win).

While others went all out to try to win, but could not (121-moves draw)

(Seriously, 5, 6, 7 move draws? Why even bother showing up?? Sorry, just my opinion)

I know this was during COVID time, so take it as what it was.

perfidious: <WannaBe>, one ribald response comes to mind as the words behind 'SA', but I shall leave it severely alone.

WannaBe: Thank you, that was very 'enlightening', that SA would be allowed by the sponsors, or the local sponsors.

Much appreciated for that info.

WannaBe: Was this SA tournament 18+ or 21+ only?

perfidious: Good question, but a distinct lack of energy was displayed in many of the games, what with all the draws in fewer than fifteen moves.
