Sep-27-11 | | brucejavier: 1st I think yifan will dominate the field |
Sep-27-11 | | waustad: Zhukova is probably mislabeled in the rating list here. She had 7 GM norms before achieving the 2500 rating to get the GM title, according to a poster on her page. FIDE's numbers are MUCH lower than the highest on her page here. |
Sep-28-11 | | waustad: That has been corrected. Thanks. |

 | | HeMateMe: I think there should just be one tournament with the women playing side by side with the men. Its a club scene, not an Olympiad. The girls would get to play some people they would otherwise not meet over the board. |
Sep-29-11 | | redwhitechess: Where is JUDIT POLGAR??? |
Sep-29-11 | | twinlark: <HeHateMe>
Women are free to participate in all men's/open events. It's their choice to participate in women's tournaments. FIDE moved into the 20th century in this regard about 20 or 25 years ago after the outcry that happened when it discriminated against the Polgars. |
Sep-29-11 | | twinlark: <Women are free to participate in all men's/open events.> Subject of course to the qualification criteria (eg: ratings) that apply to all. |
Sep-29-11
 | | HeMateMe: The stronger, mens clubs, have no females competing. I'm sure some would have been invited, had it been allowed. |
Oct-01-11 | | wuvmuffin72: Seems like Stefanova and Dembo are in the lead right now... |

 | | Natalia Pogonina: Ok, we won it. :) |
