Jun-09-03  PunchingWater: Jeannie, rthere are many ways to learn. you could have a friend teach, you could look it up online, or you could look at a bunch of chess games until you get the gist.

Also, www.pogo.com has a nice short explaination of the rules. And then you could test your knowledge by playing online. The best way to learn chess is to play chess.
