HeMateMe: The ladies games are here. Danielian is the best known name among the early leaders. Yifan has already lost once; there is hope for the rest of the world. Kosteniuk, Muzychuk, Pogonina and Lahno are all near the top.

Go Natalie! Vladisvostock in 'da House!

Oct-14-12  waustad: Thanks!
Oct-14-12  waustad: The biggest clash will be Wednesday when the folks playing for Monaco play Ugra. That could determine the top. With the Sweep today, Cercle d'Echecs de Monte-Carlo leads in match points and game points, with Ugra second in both.
Oct-15-12  waustad: Another win for Pia Cramling. She's now +3 =2 -0.
Oct-15-12  waustad: Tatiana Shadrina is having a great tournament so far at +4.
Oct-16-12  waustad: Another sweep today for Cercle d'Echecs de Monte-Carlo. Since this is a round robin on the women's side, there are some crushes even later in the tournament. With more teams, the men are playing a Swiss so the top isn't playing the bottom much, particularly with the accelerated pairings they've been using. How do they do that? Do they break the list into 4 parts instead of 2?
Oct-16-12  whiteshark: Cercle d'Echecs de Monte Carlo is the European Club Cup 2012 winner !!!!

  HeMateMe: That photo rocks, dude.
Oct-16-12  waustad: Their 12 match points clinch for Cercle d'Echecs de Monte-Carlo. #2 Ugra has 9 now, so me may see some short draws tomorrow. Actually it depends how much Ugra wants to avoid being knocked into 3rd place by Mika. http://chess-results.com/tnr82750.a...
Oct-17-12  waustad: I guess the battle for 2nd and 3rd was intense enough that there were very few, if any quick draws.
Oct-17-12  waustad: I guess that with 5 of the top 8 in winning percentage, Monaco really did dominate.
Oct-19-12  stanleys: Funny pic with some Mika's players
