GrahamClayton: "At one point, Duz-Khotimirsky tried to play on against Botvinnik in an ending of rook vs. rook (with no pawns) just to irritate the younger man."

The game was stopped after 102 moves by the tournament referee/arbiter. According to Botvinnik, Duz-Khotimirsky was intending to play on until move 150 before agreeing to a draw.
