25. novembrī RŠK bija paredzēts Fricis seanss ar noteiktu mērķi. "Viss ienākums no šīs spēles nāks par labu mirušā Hartmanis ģimenei, kura pēc Hartmanis nāves (1927. gada 28. jūlijā - autora piezīme) iekļuvusi grūtos materiālos apstākļos." Nezināmu iemseslu dēļ šo pasākumu pārcēla uz 19. decembri. Piedalījās 30 šahisti, un tas beidzās ar rezultātu +25 -4 =1. Par sniegto palīdzību Hartmanis atraitne pateicās Fricis un seansa dalībniekiem.

Hartmanis (1881 - 1927) sekmīgi spēlēja Rīgas Šaha biedrību turnīros, abos pirmajos Latvijas šaha kongresos, bet savu lielāko panākumu guva 1913. gada aprīlī Jelgavā notikušajā VI Baltijas turnīrā, izčinot pirmo vietu un Baltijas meistara titulu. Par viņu vecmeistars K. Behting rakstīja: "Vietējā šacha dzīvē Hartman ņēmā visdzīvāko dalību. Būdams lēnas un miermīlīgas dabas cilvēks, Hartmanis bija ļoti simpātisks spēles pretinieks, ar kuru cīnīties katrā gadījumā bija īsts prieks. Kā viņš pats reiz izteicāsm jarakusjā spēle ar savām valdzinošām un dziļām kombinācijām, kuru ļoti cienīja, palīdzējusi aizmirst un pārvarēt dažu smagu brīdi."

On 25 November, a Fricis session was scheduled at RSC for a specific purpose. "All proceeds from this game will benefit the family of the deceased Hartmanis, who, in the wake of Hartmanis' death (July 28, 1927 - author's note), found himself in difficult material conditions." For unknown reasons, the measure was postponed to 19 December. 30 chess players took part and ended with +25 -4 = 1. The Hartmann widow thanked Fricis and the screenwriters for their help.

Hartmanis (1881 - 1927) played successfully in the Riga Chess Association tournaments, the first two Latvian Chess Congresses, but achieved his greatest success at the VI Baltic Tournament held in April 1913 in Jelgava, winning the first prize and the title of Baltic Master. About him, Old Master K. Behting wrote, "Hartman took the most active part in the life of the local Shah. As a man of slow and peaceful nature, Hartman was a very sympathetic opponent of the game. and deep combinations that were highly respected helped to forget and overcome some difficult moments. "
