<Hozza>

I don't want you to be alarmed, but I just noticed the date is 2121~!!!!

This is the year of Mayan apocalypse New Year, but it's not all bad news.

There's this gear party first where they play a lot of righteous Beatles tunes and do the Pinatas up proud!

1Nf3 usually goes down two avenues. Either the Catalan or Queen's Gambit. There is a Third avenue, as in Orson's The Third Man, but the King's Indian is too dark and shadowy for most.

If itz the Cataln, you essentially live off the long H1-A8 diagonal, trying to say to Black that your Bishop on g2 is the best piece on the board. In order to prove this , you can let a few pawns go on the queenside, because for Black to hold on to them serves as a diversion and you as White can look for a knock out blow in the centre or Kingside.

As white I play 1Nf3 loads. And I play 1Nf6 nearly all the time too. Both are uber flexible.

I could waffle on for ages on these two opening moves but I'll spare you this .

A book ? Smyslov's best games. The Great Bot's best games. Petrosian's best games. Karpov's best games... they all penetrated into the heart of the Catalan and 1Nf3.

A lot of the time, especially after posting on here and being temporarily banned, I find myself needing a good stiff cold Margarita.

Deana Martin , daughter of Dean Martin, goes on a blind date with Steve Martin .

If they'd had hit it off she would have been Deana Martin-Martin.

MissScarlett: <Hazz>, you seen <The Scarlet Pimpernel> with Leslie Howard and Merle 'The Pearl' Oberon?
Jun-21-21  diceman: <keypusher: <diceman> for White.>

You could look into:

Starting out 1d4 by: John Cox

I never heard of the guy (I think he's a GM) but he did a pretty good book on the Advance French.

If you want something simpler:

Keep it Simple 1.D4, by:Christof Sielecki

It's from the, play:
1.d4, 2.Nf3, 3.g3, 4.Bg2, 5.0-0,
against all black openings, so you don't need to learn as many variations.

  MissScarlett: Gender-benders on warpath again...

<De Wahls said "it's distressing when there is a mob mounting against you on social media that has the power and capacity to sway an organisation like that".

She added that the floral embroidery patches that had been removed from sale had nothing to do with her politics.

When asked about the views published in her 2019 blog, in which she also discussed defending "gender non-conforming" people including her father, she told Today: "I have compassion for the journey they're [transgender people are] going through but I can't make myself believe something that I don't believe to be true.

"The biological fact that there's only two sexes [is talked about] as an opinion - when has that become an opinion? It doesn't remove my compassion from that person but I don't exist to validate other people's idea of themselves.">
