Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-14-05  Knight13: Because White is going to push the Pawns on the Queen side and Black is stuck defending the pawns, so the game ends in a draw. That's fair.
Mar-23-17  Straclonoor: Final position have big advantage for black

tamar: Bird may have analysed eliminating the last Black pawn 58 Rxe5 Bd6 58 Rg5 as a draw, and assumed the addition of 58 Kg4 Rbf2 59 Rxe5 would be similar, but the King takes away the vertical defense of the pawn by the Rook from g5, and puts White in a lost position.
Mar-23-17  Straclonoor: After 59.Rxe5 Bd6 white must sacrifice Rook for bishop by 60.Rae8 to avoid mate. I.e. 59.Rxe5 Bd6 60. Rg5 Rxg3+ 61.Kh4 Rh2 mate
