Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-07-08  knightspringer: Larry Parr brought my attention to this game.
Fischer grabbed a pawn and allowed his Knight to be pinned for 10 moves! Tremendous skill, not to mention guts. Nice tactical stroke at the end as White drops a piece.
Feb-15-09  apoka: This game is one of the most intense chess games with both sides playing well. I didn't look at computer evaluations, but Najdorf seems to have a slight advantage in the first part of the game and puts strong pressure on Fisher's f pawn. After Bd4 Black gets counterplay and wins a pawn. Before this, Najdorf's Bishop move to d2 and then back to e3 does not look particularly strong. But even after that, the game is still quite open. Black is a pawn up, but its King is stripped off its defenses and the queens are still on board. Probably, White could still draw the game, but Fishers strong tactical play tips the scales.
Feb-15-09  MaxxLange: The last move almost traps the Queen, in addition to winning a piece
Jun-12-15  ToTheDeath: Balls of steel! Fischer had the utmost faith in his calculation and defensive abilities and it shows here.
Jun-13-15  RookFile: You're right, this is a really excellent game.
May-16-16  SpaceRunner: Fischer is not playing white squares or dark squares - He is playing all of the squares!

Nice manoevering piece-coordination bishop and knight!

May-16-16  ewan14: 15 ... f5 looked really risky
