Jan-02-24  notyetagm: First day of the year!
Jan-02-24  whiteshark: Second moment of area!
Mar-15-24  Caissanist: According to Hans Ree, the Cuban team was in the same preliminary group as the Dutch team, and approached several other of the teams in their group to buy some points. It is not known whether they were successful, but they did score 4-0 shutouts against the bottom 3 teams in their group, enabling them to finish half a point ahead of The Netherlands and qualify for the A finals. Cuba then went on to lose all their matches in the A finals and finish last, while the Dutch won all but one of theirs in the B finals and won that group by 5 1/2 points: https://www.russell-enterprises.com... .
