Oct-26-16		Dionysius1: Karpov must have been torture to play against. Usually I can only follow the point of his moves by seeing what effect they have later, and he's about the least predictable player for me. Great to watch but imagine having to play him.

Nov-01-16		Phony Benoni: A clear win. When Black breaks out of the Hedgehog-type formations, the results can be striking. It's hard for a king to defend himself when he can't reach any of the attacking pieces. Black's bishops remind me a bit of thise Rotlewi vs Rubinstein, 1907 controlling the action from afar.

Nov-01-16		Elrathia Kingi: Amazing play. Doesn't 25.Qxd6 win a second pawn? No, it loses a piece: 25.Qxd6? Qxd6 26.Rxd6 Rc5! and a knight will be lost. I am not entirely familiar with the hedgehog setups, but pushing the queenside pawns seems like a logical course of action for white. However, in this game, the opening of the c-file with the knights on c2 and c3 was disastrous. Perhaps an improvement would be to play Rc1 before Nc2? Or at least, Rc1 prior to b4. The push of f4 also seems wrong, at least in concert with pushing the pawns on the queenside. Perhaps it would work better to play 20.Bd3? 20.Ne4 also looks like it could be reasonable. 21.Bg4 looks quite good for white. 25.Qa7 pushed the R to a better square -- the immediate Qe3 was preferable. Alternatively, it seems like white could get a full three pawns for the knight with 25.Qxd6 Qxd6 26.Rxd6 Rc5 27.Rad1! Bf6 28.Rxe6 Rxc3 =.

So 5... d6 protects the square.
