Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-10-09  testguy: First to kibitz on this neat little game. 34. Nf6+ would make a good puzzle.

If 34..Kf8 then 35. Qh6 etc, mate in 3
If 34..Kf7 then 35. Ng8+ Qe8 36. Nh6+ Kf8 37 Bd6+ Kg7 mate in 3 or a queen for a bishop.

Oct-01-10  rannewman: I was looking at this postion as part of the Opening of the day, and it seems like no one chose to play 19...Qf3 when as far as I can see white have nothing better then a draw with 20.Qg5+. Am I missing somthing?

  Sastre: After 19...Qf3, White wins with <20.Qg5+ Kh8 21.Qd8+ Kg7 22.Bh6+ Kxh6 23.Qg5#>.
Oct-01-10  DarthStapler: What's the point of 20. Qe8+ before Qxe2?
Oct-01-10  DarthStapler: Also, testguy, your line is wrong. After 34... Kf7, Ng8 is not check. I think the winning line is 35. Qh6! Qxe5 36. Qxh7! Kxf6 37. Qh8+, winning the queen
Apr-11-11  WhiteRook48: that is one of the strangest openings I've ever seen
