Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-28-06  Resignation Trap: Anthony Santasiere gives the actual move order as 1.Nf3 Nf6 2.b4 e6 3.a3 c5, in his book <The Futuristic Chess Opening>.
Nov-27-07  schnarre: Thought so!
Jun-15-10  Atking: In a Japanese chess book it has been suggested 1.Nf3 c5 2.b4 cxb 3.a3 (bxa 4.e4) as a better version of the sicilian gambit. The author was surely inspired by Anthony Santasiere <futuristic Opening>
Jun-15-10  Astardis: Why Nbc5? Doesn't Nxg7 do the trick for White?
Jun-15-10  Starf1re: nbc5 and nxg7 evaluate about the same and nxf8 is probably strongest but they all evaluate around ~+2. pick your poison.
Jun-15-10  Once: <Astardis: Why Nbc5? Doesn't Nxg7 do the trick for White?>

22. Nxg7 Qxb3 probably just equalises. Any one of 22. Ncb5, 22. Nxd8 and 22. Nxf8 win handily.

22. Nxf8 doesn't force mate as black can play 22...Qg4. Then it's a fairly easy win on material. Fritzie marginally prefers 22. Ncb5 Qg4 23. f3 Qg6 24. Nxd8 with an eval of +3.26, over 22. Nxf8's +3.09

Jun-15-10  Once: <Starf1re> Fritzie has 22. Nxg7 as = 0.10. He now has 22. Nxf8 at +3.6 and 22. Nbc5 at +3.4
Jun-15-10  Starf1re: i'm sorry you're right nxg7 is not good for white at all, i must have misread the line, thank you!
Jun-15-10  kevin86: Nice how white can switch diagonals in the attack-then focus the target on the QUEEN.

chrisowen: Santa vs Rudolph is it grudge match or what? Polish bald 2.b4 pat, red knows he's mincemeat after Bg6. Eight Qa5 tightening belt quant us. Anything to sledge is Rd8 would have dampened his spirits, support king not reign d4. Dash a horse in pull on feature f7 wraps him presently up. Then cold as a comet appliance of white knight Nc5 break down the final installment.
Jun-15-10  WhiteRook48: he's going to get to g7 anyway
