Dec-15-04  Zembla: I guess Kennicott didn't anticipate Morphy exchanging Q's to instantly transpose to a very favorable (almost) endgame. Till then white looked OK positionally.

  fearlessone: Interesting on move 24. Morphy wasn't lured by 24...Rf8? 2. c3 Rf2 3. cxd4 Rgg2 (so close to checkmate) but is foilded by Rg1! and white is winning stopping the mate. This move i missed.
Nov-16-19  HarryP: This game has some degree of theoretical importance. Victor Bologan, in Bologan's Black Weapons in the Open Games, says 13... Qf8! is better than Morphy's 13... Qe8. And he says best after 13... Qe8 is 14 c3!? "with counterplay."
