Feb-09-21		Damenlaeuferbauer: The unknown (at least to me) Venezuelan IM and five-times (!) winner of the championship of his country Julio Eduardo Ostos finally found the nice knight sacrifice 29.-,Qf2+! 30.Kxh3 and could now force a mate in two moves with 30.-,g4+! 31.Kh4,Qxh2#. One explanation could be, that he was in severe time pressure, had maybe just a few seconds till move 40 on his clock and already saw the other mate, which lasts one move longer. Nevertheless, a good King's Indian set-up and aggressive performance against white's Stonewall attack!

Feb-09-21		Halldor: A second Tuesday in a row? I solved this one but failed yesterday (didn’t see 25 Qa3+). Now I saw immediately that Kh3 and Qf1 was nearly a mate, so it was easy to figure out some mating net. After 29... Qf2+ 30 KxN Qf1+ 31 Ng2, I went for: 31... Bf6 32 (Qe1 or whatever) and g4#. Not the best continuation but it does the trick.

Feb-09-21		Brenin: <Louben>: After 29 ... Qf2+ 30 Kxh3 I like your quiet 30 ... Qe2, its unforcing nature emphasising White's helplessness: 32 g4 and 32 Ng2 allow mate on g4, while 32 Nf3 allows Qf1. Playing 1 f4 when outgraded by several hundred points was just asking for trouble.
