Nov-05-14		greenfield67: I play the Grünfeld (hence the handle) and I'd just like to say that this - Bf4, c5 - is an uncommon plan to use against it. Once Black plays e5, he's got nice piece play, and Grischuk uses it energetically. There are White plans that are much more critical for the Grünfeld, but I suppose that these days most of the super-GMs with computers, assistants and Peter Svidler's phone number have ways to avoid the pitfalls.

Nov-07-14		haydn20: This fine game once again shows me why I will never understand GM practice. 6...Be6 (huh?)7...c6 8...Bc8 and Black undevelops his pieces without consesequences. I think Gris was already plotting 21...Nd2! (a move I would never have seen) when he played 17...Nc4. And then 26. e4? basically "asking for it". Still Gelf defends well until 36. Rcd1 (maybe 36. Bf1). With 3 P's for the Ex, Black's win is just technique for a GM but it was still a pleasure to watch Gris execute it (and his opponent) efficiently.

Nov-07-14		Shams: <haydn20> The bishop retreat is not so hard to understand; after White has closed the center time is not so critical and Black's LSB is only getting in the way on e6.

Nov-06-18		Saniyat24: brilliant sacrifice by Grischuk, and after that he just got into overdrive...must have thought hard for quite sometime and then took the h-pawn with the bishop, all his moves made perfect sense after that, and then it was flawless execution...!
